Escape Rooms for Kids - Healthier Mom Bundle

All my escape rooms are available in both U.S. Letter and A4 format. The U.S. Letter version uses American spellings and the U.S. standard measurement system. The A4 version uses British spellings and metric measurements. You have access to both versions, so you can use whichever one suits you and your family!

My escape rooms are always learning-based - mainly revolving around math, literacy, spelling, grammar, and punctuation, but sometimes using snippets of other subjects, such as French or Science. They also include fun puzzles and codes to crack!

THE CASE OF THE STOLEN SAPPHIRE

The Case of the Stolen Sapphire is set in Victorian London. Kids aged 9-11 will play the part of the famous Detective Scarlet, with a mission to find the stolen sapphire before the hour is up!

Learning points include:

• coordinating and subordinating conjunctions

• adjectives and adverbs ending in -ly

• addition with 4- and 5-digit numbers

• division with 2- and 3-digit numbers

• reading graphs

• calculating times in hours and minutes

• and fun word puzzles and codes to break!

THE SWEETLAND WOODS PIE COMPETITION

In 'The Sweetland Woods Pie Competition', kids aged 6-8 will enjoy helping four woodland friends bake the best pie so they can win the annual pie contest!

Learning points include:

• addition problems

• doubling numbers

• reading measurements on a scale

• looking up information in an index

• looking up information in a table

• telling time on an analog clock

• phonics - words with the /o/ sound

• understanding how to use questions (who, what, when, where, why, how)

• putting instructions in the correct order

• and fun codes to break!

Hi, I'm Nadia!

Escape Rooms for Kids was born in March 2020, just before lockdown hit the UK. I was a Teaching Assistant in a Year 6 classroom (that's the same as Grade 6 in the US and Canada), and we were preparing for a series of standardized Year 6 tests that happen every May (but of course, didn't happen that year due to Covid-19).

I had just created a fun homework exercise for the kids in my class to practice for the test questions. I was so pleased that I had made that homework assignment, because when school shut down that week, I was able to offer it in a few Facebook groups of distressed parents who didn't know how long their kids would be out of school.

They loved it, their kids loved it, and I had many requests for more. That's how Escape Rooms for Kids was born!
