How to Make Story-Based Printable Escape Rooms

Escape rooms, mini mysteries, micro-missions - whatever you call them, they're fun and exciting, and a favorite with kids!

These printable activities engage kids for long periods of time, giving them a full story peppered with fun puzzles - plus the satisfaction of solving a mystery at the end!

In this course, I'll show you how to create an escape room using the self-validating meta-puzzle method.

You'll create 10 smaller puzzles that feed into a larger meta-puzzle that gives the overall solution at the end. Getting the answer to the larger puzzle correct means that the solver has correctly answered all of the smaller puzzles. If their solution doesn't work, they'll know exactly where they have to go back and try again.

We'll start from scratch and create an entire escape room during this course, including coming up with the idea, gathering your graphics, drafting your meta-puzzle, writing the story, creating the 10 smaller puzzles, and creating the answer key. Plus, we'll talk about user testing, creating a series, and giving optional clues and hints.

After this course, you'll be able to create story-based printable escape rooms yourself from scratch. This will give you the option of choosing to sell your own creations with MRR, PLR, or personal-use-only rights, whichever suits you best.

This course also includes a done-for-you PLR escape room, which we'll create together from scratch throughout the course.

In this course, I'm intentionally choosing not to use AI to help generate any of the elements of the escape room. That's because I want you to understand every aspect of how it works, and to use your brain for the fun part: thinking about and making up your own unique puzzles!

AI can be great for speeding up some elements of your work - but hand-crafting your escape room encourages you to use your creativity and infuse your personality into your work.

In this and other trainings, I do use AI-generated images created by some of my biz buddies. I love supporting them and using their products.
